Stop Panicking And Start Speaking

The World Is Waiting for Your Ideas

Are you an introverted designer type?

Does talking about your work in front of clients and coworkers make your palms sweaty and your mouth so dry that you can barely get a word out?

This is for you if:

  • You worry about your client eyes glazing over during presentations

  • You feel inarticulate or find yourself rambling when your team doesn’t understand the vision

  • You get frustrated when your ideas go unheard or get overlooked

  • You avoid opportunities because they require presenting

  • You’re tired of watching your boss present your work

MY SUPERPOWER IS HELPING SHY PEOPLE GET OVER THEIR FEARS AND ARTICULATE THEIR THOUGHTS SO THEY CAN HOLD THEIR OWN IN A PRESENTATION.

Speak with Impact Lab is a safe space to practice, experiment and build confidence describing your ideas so you can get recognized for your work. This class will meet you where you are so you can face your fears, tackle your self doubt, and beat your nerves.

Together with 7 other committed creative professionals you will:

  • Learn how to connect with your audience so you can persuade clients and teammates that you thought through solutions and arrived at the best option

  • Learn how to create your presentation so that you don’t lose your audience before you get started

  • Learn how to work through your nerves and deliver a clear, concise presentation so you don’t get sent back to the drawing board

I loved having the space to practice in front of an actual audience and receive immediate feedback. The engagement strategies were super helpful as I prepped for 3 live events. Madeline’s advice to imagine the worst-case scenarios and then assess if they were really the end of the world or not was eye opening.

FAQS

The thought of speaking in front of 5 others that I don't know is SCARY! How can I overcome this fear if I know this program would be beneficial?

It’s completely natural to feel nervous about speaking in front of other people. That’s probably why you’re here. I pair everyone up with a buddy before the course starts so that it doesn’t feel like you’re walking into a room full of strangers on Day 1.

What if I don’t have any experience speaking in public?

This is for beginners or people with a little bit of experience who have a lot of nervous energy. I believe you don’t have to be a natural performer to become a confident presenter, and this course is designed to show you how.

Can I do this online?

This is an in-person because I believe you have to practice in front of other people to get comfortable speaking in front of other people. That said, I’ve had a lot of people express interest in a remote class and it’s in the works. Join my mailing list so I can keep you posted.

Homework?

There will be exercises to practice what you learn between sessions. This is all about consistent practice so you can build momentum and get a presentation win in your pocket. Plan on 90 minutes of class time per week and 30 min of homework.

Should I work on something specific?

Great question. You will get the most out of this class if you work on something specific – work presentation, elevator speech, sales pitch, conference talk. If those seem too high pressure, tell us about your favorite hobby. If you’re unsure if this program is for you, schedule a 20 minute consultation here so we can make sure you’re a good fit.

Speak with Impact is a place where you can really focus on what’s working through multiple repetitions and individual coaching.
